Our Roots

Allay Studios is a woman veteran-owned luxury wig brand specializing in natural-looking medical wigs (cranial prostheses.) 

We pride ourselves on being fully owned and operated by: 

  • A woman with first-hand experience dealing with hair loss and wearing medical wigs. 

  • A Licensed Cosmetologist 

  • Cranial Prosthesis Specialist

I've dealt with many stages of hair loss, so I can completely relate to your experience: hair thinning in one or multiple spots to shaving my remaining hair off (male BMT style) because the hair loss was so apparent throughout my scalp.

It all started after my deployment…

While also preparing to separate from the Air Force, adhering to military dress and appearance standards started taking a toll on my strands. So, I looked for a solution to help camouflage my hair loss. That's when I started sourcing hair extensions and making wigs. What began as a hair loss solution for me quickly became a business after numerous people complimented me on what they thought was my natural hair.

For the past 6 years, we have continued to educate ourselves on the art of wig-making. Adopting techniques to ensure our units are comfy, non-irritating to the scalp, and align with our clients styling desires.
